With over 25 years of experience as an organizational development consultant, trainer, facilitator, and executive coach, Mitchell brings a wealth of expertise to his clients. He draws on his background as a human rights litigator, and specializes in helping organizations navigate complex power dynamics, interpersonal relationships, and unconscious bias to foster inclusive and high-performing cultures.

Dedication to social justice has long been a hallmark of Mitchell’s career. He was the first attorney hired by the New York City Human Rights Commission to combat HIV and AIDS discrimination, and during his tenure there as a supervising attorney he also established the Human Rights Commission Training Institute to advance education and awareness in this critical area.
For a quarter-century, Mitchell shared his knowledge and insights as an adjunct instructor at Cornell’s NYSILLR Management Development Program in New York City, teaching courses on Managing Conflict, Managing a Diverse Workforce, and Preventing Sexual Harassment.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mitchell is deeply involved in community service, serving on the board of directors of the David Dorfman Dance Company and playing a pivotal role as a founding member of the Ambassador Circle at Boys & Girls Club of Harlem.
Mitchell's educational background includes a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, a J.D. from Rutgers Law School, and a Masters of Organizational Development from American University. Additionally, he is a Certified Diversity Professional Coach, further solidifying his commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all facets of his work.
